I had seen some of these photos when I wanted to learn more after doing the reading in our textbook that covered this... But put together, with the captions, it's even more disturbing. I read through some of the comments - quite an interesting debate as far as whether women honestly wanted to go through the pain and suffering in the name of beauty and "landing" a good husband, or whether the practice was mandated...
I'm just glad my feet have never been bound, nor have I had to inflict this upon my daughters!
